SmartLipo Laser Liposuction - Miami, FL Smartlipo
is similar to conventional liposculpture procedures, but only requires local anesthesia.
A small incision is made usually in a skin crease or fold to reduce any visible
scarring and a cannula (a very tiny tube) is inserted beneath the skin and into
the fat deposit. With conventional liposuction, the cannula is moved back and
forth to rupture the fat cells and suction is used to vacuum out the cells. With
Smartlipo, a laser is used to rupture the fat cells so there is less trauma
to the surrounding tissues and the procedure is less invasive. The laser also
promotes collagen growth beneath the skin which causes the skin to be even more
toned and sculpted. Smartlipo usually takes no more than an hour, and once
the procedure is complete, the incision is sutured and bandaged. Smartlipo
allows our plastic surgeons to perform very precise fat removal procedures for
hard to reach fat deposits in places like knees and ankles, along the chin and
face, and the inner thighs and male breasts.South
